17 September 2006

I'm ba-aa-aack. I think.

It was an accidental hiatus. Somehow three weeks went by. One day it was August 10. The next thing I knew, well, here we are.

It could have had something to do with six kids starting school--with different schedules, homework piling up, new teachers to educate (I swear I was starting to mutter "CALP" "internationally adopted," "subtractive bilingualism," and "they are now" [this last in response to the ever popular question, "Yes, I know, but are they REAL siblings?"] in my sleep). It could also have something to do with my finally, at last, halleyluyer, getting the dossier for Seven done, done DONE.

I blinked, and it was suddenly September.

Uh. It is still September, right?

Comments:
I am glad you're back and that everything is okay. I was wondering a little. We're back to school, swim team, soccer, Chinese class, etc. and having a ball. I'm thrilled you got your dossier done. As they say, now the real wait begins.

That little 5 is going to do something extra special in life, I just know it. Daren

Thanks Daren! Yeah-it's quite a list our kids hand the chauffeur (ie US) some days, huh?

Yup, the real wait--it just gets more real, not more easy.....

Lynda:

Yay! You really *are* back! I was worried it was something that we said (haha not really--but I *was* worried).

Glad to read your fresh, insightful posts again about the life, dialouge and thoughts inside a kids' head (your kids, especially).

Five is special. Seven is special and you, my dear anonymous-mom-I-admire, are too!

Congratulations and welcome back!

Teri
